Dave is a serial entrepreneur and has spent his career identifying and seizing opportunities in telecommunications, technology, software and automated packaging. In his role at SOBR Safe, he is responsible for capital creation, new business acquisition, business strategy & development and partnership revenue generation.
Dave most recently served as President of IPS Denver, a bank card personalization and packaging entity, where he transformed the company into the leader in the US secured gift market space – growing the company from concept to $46 million in revenue. IPS was acquired by a public company in 2014. Prior to his engagement at IPS, Dave was the COO at First World Communications, a major US internet and Data Center provider, and participated in its successful IPO in 2000, raising over $250 million. Previously, Dave founded Pace Network Services, providing carrier SS7 signaling to US long distance providers and facilitated a successful exit to ICG Communications. He also co-founded Detroit-based Digital Signal in the fiber optic long haul market sector, where he executed a successful exit to SP Telecom.
Dave is a father of three boys, and resides with his wife in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Telecommunications. He was a scholarship NCAA Division I Hockey player, and was a member of the US Junior National Team and a US Junior All-American.
An accomplished entrepreneur and senior executive, Kevin was most recently President and owner of Van’s Equipment Company which started as a "greenfield" project during the Great Recession and grew to a very successful multi location business serving the Colorado region before its sale in 2017. He was previously CEO and owner of Summit Quality, an international quality management and sales organization which secured over $50 million year in revenue for its clients. Prior to that endeavor, Kevin was CEO and owner Automotive Testing Technologies, quadrupling testing revenue in four years, then successfully selling the business to a competitor. He is currently an active business and real estate investor through Moore Holdings Incorporated.
Kevin serves on the Board of Directors for SOBR Safe, Four Seasons Golf, RDM Holdings and the Shining Stars Foundation. He also participates in the University of Colorado MBA mentorship program and established the Shining Stars Young Adult mentorship program that supports young adults social and professional aspirations in a positive manner.
Kevin is a father of two and resides in Boulder, Colorado with his wife, Patricia. He earned his BS in Business from Colorado State University. His passion is the Shining Stars Foundation, which provides outdoor recreational opportunities to pediatric cancer patients throughout the United States. Skiing, mountain biking and kite boarding round out his active lifestyle.
Gary has over 40 years of experience working with emerging growth companies and has been engaged in more than 125 financings for domestic and international public and private entities. Gary founded First Capital Ventures (then First Capital Business Development) in 2005 to collaborate with entrepreneurs, investors, private equity groups, venture capital funds and investment banking firms to restructure, finance and revitalize high potential, under-performing startup and re-start companies. Gary has served as Chairman, Director and Interim Chief Executive Officer of several private and public corporations.
Prior to founding First Capital, Gary spent more than 30 years in investment and merchant banking. He began his career at Smith Barney, where he specialized in developing financing solutions for high growth companies. Gary also worked on special project financing for Drexel Burnham Lambert, and later owned a Denver-based investment bank for nearly two decades. Gary is a US Army Vietnam veteran (Sergeant, 1st Cavalry Division), and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and an associate degree in organizational psychology from Meyers College in Cleveland, Ohio. He resides in Centennial, Colorado with his wife.
Ford is an experienced Operations & Engineering executive focusing in business transformation & efficiency improvements across People, Process & Systems. He is currently an executive at Crown Castle International, and learned his craft at Rochester Telephone, building teams, processes and systems across many departments in the Telecommunication space.
Ford went on to executive roles in Engineering, Planning and Network Access at US West, Qwest, tw telecom and Zayo. While continuing to hone his expertise in People, Process & Systems, he led the technical aspects of a large $1 B startup within US West, helped Qwest to stave off bankruptcy by saving $100 MM year and led improvements at tw telecom that made it an envied leader in the CLEC sector. He has been engaged in over 40 acquisitions and successful integrations over his career. His career has included significant business dealings internationally, mostly focused in the Americas and Europe.
Ford earned a degree in Operations Research & Information Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the Simon School of Business, University of Rochester. His interests include skiing, travel, cycling, golf and hockey.
Charles has over 35 years of senior executive experience, and has been a Director of SOBR Safe’s predecessor TransBiotec since April 2005. He was appointed as its interim Chief Financial Officer in April 2017, and as its Chief Executive Officer and Secretary in January 2018. Charles was previously TransBiotec’s President and Principal Executive, Financial and Accounting Officer from December 2006 to September 2016, and its Secretary from July 2013 to September 2016. Between May 2005 and December 2006, he was the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
He previously served as President of Global Guard Mutual Benefits Co, and COO and Director of Balboa Life & Casualty.
Charles earned a BA in Finance and Banking from the University of Miami (Ohio), and graduated from Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
For nearly 20 years Steve served as General Counsel and a Senior Officer of the cable and satellite network Starz, over which time he was promoted from Vice President to Executive Vice President and Secretary. He was part of the strategic senior management team that grew the business from a relative startup to a multibillion-dollar Nasdaq company. He was responsible for the negotiation of multimillion to billion-dollar contracts with the likes of Universal, Disney, Sony, Comcast, Time-Warner, Netflix and more. He was responsible for all legal aspects of the business, including sales, marketing, studio acquisitions, programing, human resources and general corporate operations. As General Counsel and Secretary he was heavily involved in public company governance. Steve is also an accomplished technology investor, with a focus on potentially disruptive, emerging growth solutions.
